Day 1: Bagdogra to Phuentsholing – Gateway to the Dragon Kingdom
Your Himalayan escape begins with a scenic drive from the Indian plains into the thriving commercial hub of the Bhutanese border.
Arrival & Transfer: Upon arrival at Bagdogra International Airport, receive a warm welcome and transfer to Phuentsholing, the primary gateway to Bhutan by road.
Phuentsholing Arrival: Check in to your hotel and soak in the unique atmosphere of this bustling border town.
Overnight Stay: Enjoy dinner and a restful overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu – Journey to the Capital
Ascend into the mountains as you complete official formalities and travel toward the cultural heart of the kingdom.
Immigration Formalities: Complete the necessary immigration procedures before beginning your scenic 170 km drive to the capital.
Scenic Waypoints: En route, visit the serene Kharbhandi Gompa Mandir, picturesque waterfalls, and Chuzhom—the sacred confluence of the Paro and Thimphu rivers.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha – Passes & Palaces
Experience the grandeur of Bhutan’s architectural heritage and the natural beauty of its high mountain passes.
Dochu-La-Pass: Travel to Punakha, stopping at the Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts) to marvel at panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks.
Punakha Dzong: Explore the magnificent Punakha Dzong, known as the "Palace of Great Happiness" and the winter residence of the Je-Khenpo.
