Introduction
Karnataka is often called "One State, Many Worlds," and for a good reason. But when you try to see the royal palaces of Mysore, the misty coffee hills of Coorg, and the boulder-strewn ruins of Hampi all in one trip, the logistics can become a nightmare.
Recently, we helped a group of travelers from Bangalore navigate this exact circuit. Here is the play-by-play of their 10-day Karnataka tour itinerary—and how a little professional planning turned a "long drive" into a lifetime memory.
Days 1–3: The Royal Heritage (Bangalore to Mysore)
The journey began in the heart of Bangalore.
The Route: A smooth drive to Srirangapatna to see Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, followed by the grandeur of Mysore.
The Highlight: A private guided tour of the Amba Vilas Palace and an evening at the illuminated Brindavan Gardens.
The Sri Sai Touch: We arranged a "Legacy Lunch" at a heritage hotel, giving the group a taste of authentic Royal Mysore cuisine.
Days 4–6: Coffee, Clouds, and Culture (Coorg & Belur)
From the plains of Mysore, the group climbed into the Western Ghats.
The Route: Heading to Madikeri (Coorg) with a stop at the Bylakuppe Golden Temple—one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India.
The Highlight: Feeding elephants at the Dubare Elephant Camp and a sunset walk at Raja's Seat.
The Sri Sai Touch: Instead of a standard hotel, we booked a homestay tucked deep inside a private coffee estate.
Days 7–10: The Golden Age of Vijayanagara (Hampi)
The final leg of the trip took the group north to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hampi.
The Route: A scenic drive via Chitradurga Fort (the "Fort of Seven Rounds").
The Highlight: Exploring the Virupaksha Temple and the iconic Stone Chariot. Watching the sunset from Hemakuta Hill was the perfect finale.
The Sri Sai Touch: Hampi can be scorching. We ensured a dedicated AC vehicle and an expert historian guide who brought the ruins to life with stories, not just dates.
Why a 10-Day Trip Needs an Expert
Planning a trip this long across different terrains (hills, plains, and ruins) requires:

Driver Reliability: 10 days on the road is a lot of driving. Our professional chauffeurs know these roads like the back of their hands.
VIP Access: From securing "Special Darshan" in crowded temples to booking safari slots in Nagarhole, we handle the hurdles
